Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Let’s Play, an initiative by Dr Pepper Snapple Group that provides kids and families with the tools, places and inspiration to make active play a daily priority by building and improving playgrounds and donating sports equipment to groups in need. Although I received compensation for this post, all opinions are my own.
With two very active children, I have come to realize just how important partaking in sports has become. It is through participating in local sports that my children have learned the values of dedication, commitment and the importance of teamwork. Playing sports also keeps them socially active and gives us as parents with no athletic ability the opportunity to cheer them on from the sidelines!
Let’s Play is an effort sponsored by Dr Pepper Snapple Group to enable kids with the tools to make active play a priority. As a mom of two, nothing is more fulfilling than watching my kids disconnect from electronics and get involved in active play!!!
Dr Pepper Snapple Group has donated more than $4.5 million in brand new sports equipment over a span of three years as part of Dr Pepper Snapple’s $38.5 million commitment by 2020 to bring active play to kids in need. The Let’s Play High School Makeover challenge is a video contest that benefits student athletes at underfunded high schools in the U. S. The winning school will win a whopping $100,000 in new athletic equipment for their school. Simply put this contest and the prize will be life altering for the winning school; the students and families for years to come.
